the four horsemen - pestilence by RipClint the four horsemen - pestilence by RipClint
biro - four horsemen of the apocalypse 2003

unfortunately with this one my pen ran out of ink and i had to finish using a different black biro. same manufacturer, same pack of pens, different mix of fucking ink - not a happy camper.

fortunately the guy who these were for didn't seem to care. probably didn't even notice.

Excellent work.

If you hadn't said that the change of colors wasn't intended I wouldn't have guessed. I thought it was just meant to symbolize different layers of depth between the chair and the bed.

I love all four of these,
I had to fav them all,
it didn't seem right to only have one.

So morbidly adorable.

This series is outstanding. It's amazing what you can do with a simple pen. It's so cute in a morbid way, I guess. You really have talent. Love your work.

I hate when my favorite pens run out of ink.

You use them in such a magnificent way, though, I'm sure it wasn't that big an obstacle.

the different shade of black would be a good discovery for me! but in certain cases would be a pain i understand, still turned out very well though. i personally like it like that!

I have to say (and I'm a HUGE ballpoint fan) that the pen running out isn't necessarily a bad thing in this case. I think the two tone effect in the picture really adds to it (it kind of implies the tone of blood and illness).

mainly pen and ink for drawing and have some more work which i really need to get finished. the four horsemen were drawn using black biros.

i do also enjoy playing around in illustrator from time to time.

have to say though you have a fantastic gallery and can't wait to see more of your work.

No, I like the colour variation in this. Actually, I love the whole series. Very innovative designs and beautifully rendered :D. How big are they?

the colour variation gets to me a bit. saying that though i can alter it any time i want in photoshop but never do. not sure why.

as for the size, each is 200mm x 200mm, scanned and plopped on a larger canvas. i have prints but haven't made them available for sale just yet as i'm planning to show them locally along with some other work.

many thanks for adding them to your favs and for your comments. =)

great gallery.
